L’Amourier is the synthesis of the terroirs of the Luc Lapeyre’s vineyard and its grape variety. The wine finds its personality both in clays and sands as gravels. It comes from the most older, deepest rooted vines and parcels.
Fermentation, extends from two to three weeks.
The rule is not to have a rule! Keep it flexible wine depending on the vintage. It's not simple because everything matures at the same time, the syrah is been picked first, but not always …..
Carignan is so old that it has imposed itself and brings much to the equilibrium in an assembly. freshness and liveliness in the Syrah / Mourvedre tandem.
Now as the climate is hotter and drier, the Carignan matures better and better, without heaviness. It reflects the desire to produce wines that have made the image of the Minervois, not the most powerful in the world, who have strength of course, but above all elegance and freshness.
On the nose you will find a bouquet of ripe black and red fruits. The palate is full bodied with a soft attack and the tannins are well integrated - great balance between fullness and freshness,
This is a gourmet wine that maintains its presence with a spicy dish and also complement well the most delicate dishes
Grapes from organic farming and low added sulfites. Small filtration.
